A Customized Approach to Your Healthcare

The State of Healthcare in America

Despite having the most expensive healthcare system in the world, the United States ranks 41st among industrialized countries in life expectancy at birth and among the bottom at 65 years of age. Incredibly, not only are we receiving only 50% of the healthcare we should, we are receiving unnecessary care to the tune of $500 to $700 billion a year! In other words, just because it’s expensive doesn’t mean it’s better.

Patients Are Being Left Out

Today medical practice is based more on hunches than scientific evidence, which results in unnecessary risk (recent estimates are that 30,000 people die each year as a result of unnecessary care). As patients, we have been left out of the decision making process. For example, if you knew the side effects of the elective surgery, would you have agreed to it?

How We Help

Drs. Jeffrey and Suzanne Kreisberg will provide you the information you need to participate in your healthcare so that you add value by receiving the right care, at the right price and haven’t put your safety at risk with unnecessary care. We help give you the confidence to know you are making the smartest choice for you.

Do You Need a Patient Advocate?

"A second opinion saved me from surgery. Three years ago I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. It was a small amount but the doctor said I needed to remove my prostate and not to wait more than five or six months to have it done. This news was devastating. I was becoming depressed and anxious. Fortunately I was put in touch with Jeff Kreisberg through a friend. Jeff was wonderful. First he calmed my fears and told me that there were other options. He recommended me to a specialist who said I was a good candidate for watchful waiting and also recommended a drug that may slow the cancer's growth. I routinely get a PSA and a biopsy to keep a close watch on my cancer. I will be ever grateful."

On a recent Oprah Winfrey show (January 6, 2009), Dr. Oz was featured on the topic "10 Ways to Live Healthier." Among the recommendations was this advice: Find a Health Advocate. "When you are under stress from doctors' diagnoses or are too sick to speak up for yourself, it's crucial to have someone helping you. Get someone who you trust and make them your partner in this process." For more information, watch the clip.
